Border Patrol murders Native man and gets away with it.

Shot on his own land while unarmed after calling for help from Border Patrol.

When Yvonne Neverez’ uncle, Ramond Mattia, called Border Patrol to his property to apprehend migrants, he never thought the agents would fill him full of lead. To date, the government refuses to investigate the killing of Raymond, a Tohono O’odham Nation member on his own land. The coverup was done by the Border Patrol’s old Critical Incident Team that had been moved to CBP OPR to legalize them under the Biden Administration. Prior to their legalization, the teams existed for 30 years secretly covering up every single use of force incident that was questionable. In 100 years of the agency’s existence, no agent has ever been convicted of killing a person while on duty. Originally recorded in 2023.
