Thank you for saying what needs to be said, and for God's sake, what is our fucking problem? This is one asshole that plenty of us know is not fit for office. Yes - I feel that hope too - your message , though so difficult to realize how long it might take to make things more humane, more fair for everyone in all walks of life, to hold culprits accountable - no passes ...this message is important fully absorb, to take heart as part and party to transform and reconstruct democracy no matter how long and challenging the process to realize more thoughtfully considered mindful change ... kind thanks Jenn
Absolutely brilliant essay, Jenn. This country has been going down a destructive course for years and years. We are degenerating/spiraling into fascism. I do think any type of transformation to a more equitable type of democracy will be generational. In the meantime, we may be living with illiberalism/fascism for years. It is, indeed, a sobering thought, but likely.
