Hard to follow the story, but it sounds like a lot of other situations where good intentions, hubris, inherent fatal flaws, opportunism - all the messy human stuff that often doom organizations and hurt causes - strikes again

Jen, I am in awe of your bravery and commitment to help others. As other commenters have encouraged, please take a few days off from the enormous problems this crisis details all of it! You are true in your actions and that is the reason you have credibility with such a large and diverse group. You make me proud of women who take action. I feel bad that I did not se all this before today. I am not really on top of all the platforms like FB. But you did nothing wrong here! So thank goodness you are safe. The support for exposing them has come from all sides. Quiet support, but strong support. The general consensus seems to be that I was the only one who could write such a piece bc of my experience on both sides. At least one of the agencies has suggested interest in reaching out to the community to work towards solutions. That was the goal.
Exactly, sometimes things get complicated for a reason. This guy sounds like a little gang lord a sociopath in a cowboy hat! I am fired up by things like this as I don’t want to sound all religious or anything but you were like a messenger from the highest angels, sent to do what others don’t, can’t, or won’t.
